So your calendar will arrive just as the collection makes its exhibition debut - giving you a first glimpse of the paintings before, or just as, they are revealed to the public.

Each month features a different painting, with an additional artwork to make up the 13-image collection.

My work is inspired by the natural world around me - flowers, gardens, landscapes and those little moments when something catches your eye and makes you stop and look.

I love colour, texture and light, and I’m interested in taking familiar things and seeing them differently. This new collection celebrates Australian botanicals through my own contemporary, colourful lens.

Whether you buy one for yourself or give it to someone who loves art, flowers, gardens or simply beautiful things, I hope it brings a little joy to every month of 2027.

    I offer vibrant, hands-on workshops that focus on acrylic painting, observation, and playful exploration. My goal is to help you loosen up, experiment with colour and texture, and connect more deeply with your subject, whether that’s still life, landscape, or botanicals.

    Each session includes demonstrations, lots of individual guidance, and a warm, encouraging space to build skills and creative confidence. My workshops are open to everyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced painter looking to refresh your practice.

Hi There !

I am Helen Evans

I’ve been making art more or less full-time since graduating from art school in Manchester. Over the years, my practice has followed me from the UK to Bermuda, and now to Brighton in Brisbane, Queensland.

Wherever I’ve lived, painting has been a constant. It’s how I make sense of the world around me. I work mainly in acrylic on board, creating vibrant, textured paintings of still life, botanicals, and landscapes. My process begins with observation, drawing from life to explore light, shadow, and the quiet presence of everyday objects.

People often tell me my paintings help them slow down and notice things they might have overlooked. That’s what I hope for, to offer a fresh way of seeing, and to share the wonder I find in the ordinary.
