Amazing Acrylic

Acrylic is a misunderstood medium. I was resistant to it for many years. However, once I discovered how to use it correctly I came to understand how amazing it really is. It is the perfect paint for beginners, it is forgiving and also magical. I use all of the techniques I will be showing you in my work. My style of class is relaxed, open and generous. Plus my studio is set on 10 rural acres with stunning mountain views.
This is an experimental class that demonstrates acrylic paint's flexibility and creativity through play. Play is a hugely important part of creativity and is often neglected. All the complexities of this beautiful medium will be revealed through demos, dispelling any myths and will be enormous fun.
I will show you how to make the most amazing range of colours through mixing, how to use acrylic mediums, layering and glazing, reductive and additive techniques, and the creation of complex textures.
You will have the opportunity to go home with at least one finished piece and the knowledge to use acrylic in your own practice in new and creative ways.
If you would like to come to more than one workshop you will learn more techniques and have the opportunity to make more art.
