My current art practice is realised in three distinct media; acrylic paint on board, watercolour on paper and encaustic on board. Close observation of colour, light and texture are common to each.

My acrylic paintings are concerned with colour and light, exploring my immediate environment of the garden which has been planted from scratch over the past 12 years and the stunning landscape around my studio, a 180 view of mountains, farmland and bush.

My watercolour series " Simple Gifts" is a theme I have returned to periodically for many years, using a range of media. I aim to honour overlooked natural objects for their simple beauty. In more recent years this body of work has become a mindfulness practice for me.
